Terms & conditions
- Before undertaking in any gym sessions, classes or attending the pool you must inform an instructor or member of staff of any medical conditions you have which may be affected by exercise or over exertion.
- There are some risks associated with participating in fitness classes or exercising and although we will do our part to make Clannlife as safe as possible, you are using Clannlife Fitness at your own risk.
- Fitness classes will only go ahead if we have a minimum of 4 people, it is important for members to book in their classes on our WellyX app.
- Swimming Hats must be always worn in the swimming pool and hydrotherapy area.
- Swimsuit – Woman: one piece or bikini, Men: Swim Shorts, Speedos, or gym shorts. This applies to the Sauna, Steam room and showers on the poolside as well as in the swimming pool. Some costumes may fade after immersion in the Jacuzzi. Check the suitability of your costume before you enter the Jacuzzi. Management cannot be held responsible for this.
- Children under the age of 16 years must be always accompanied by an adult (18yrs plus).
- Children under the age of 16 years are not allowed in the Gym.
- Children under the age of 16 years are not allowed in the Sauna, Steam room or Jacuzzi.
- Children 8 years and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water within arms reach always.
- There must be 1 adult to every 2 children aged 8 years and under.
- Children’s hours are 10:15am -7:15pm every day.
- Lockers are provided for our members to use, a lock is needed to lock them you can bring your own or purchase at reception. Clannlife staff are not responsible for your belongings and lockers can only be used during your time using our facilities. Any lockers kept overnight, will be snipped and belongings will be added to lost and found, we are not responsible for your property, this is your responsibility.
- Diving, jumping, running, petting and boisterous behaviour is not permitted.
- The use of toiletries is prohibited in the pool area.
- Flip Flops or similar pool footwear is recommended in the pool area.
- Shoe covers are compulsory in the pool and shower areas over outdoor shoes.
- You must leave the pool area 20 minutes before closing to allow time for showers.
- Always shower and use the toilet facilities before entering the pool area.
- Leave the Jacuzzi immediately if you become nauseous, giddy, or feel faint and inform a member of staff as soon as possible.
- Swim Nappies are compulsory for babies and children under the age of 3 years.
- No buggies/car seats/rock-a-tots are allowed on the poolside.
- Please note that the pool may be closed during Aquafit (45mins) if numbers reach 30 people. Sauna, Steam room and Jacuzzi will be still available for use.
- No device that takes a photograph is allowed on the poolside & not photography of the pool area is allowed from reception at any time.
- Tampering with any equipment, or leisure facilities is not permitted and will lead to termination of membership.
- Do not use Sauna, Steam room or Jacuzzi without first seeking medical advice if you are pregnant, have Heart Disease, Diabetes, Epilepsy, suffer from high or low blood pressure, or any medical condition that could be made worse by use of the Sauna, Steam Room or Jacuzzi, or if using any anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictor, vasodilator, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics, or alcohol.
- Do not use the Sauna, Steam rook or Jacuzzi if you have open or infected wounds.
- You must arrive in time for fitness classes, otherwise you will not be allowed to join in.
- During Covid-19 you must leave the gym and dressing rooms 10 min before the end of your hour, to allow time for cleaning.
- Appropriate clothing i.e. shorts/gym bottoms, gym top and runners should be worn in the gym.
- All gym users must bring their own small gym towel for personal use in the gym.
- All machines must be wiped down with disinfectant and blue towels, which are provided in the gym.
- All relevant protocols issued by Clannlife Fitness must be adhered to.
- You must obey all Covid-19 notices, agree to adhere to all social distancing notices, sanitise hands and wear a mask in certain areas. You must abide by any directions given by club officers while on premises specific to Covid-19 health and safety measures.
- Weights and equipment must be put back in their proper place when finished using, or during Covid-19 be given to a member of staff in the gym to clean and sanitize them.
- Mask must be worn when entering Clannlife Fitness and into the Changing Rooms, may be taken off in the Pool area, and the Gym area or during classes.
- You must leave the gym area 10 min before the end of your hour slot to allow for cleaning.
- You must bring your own water bottle to Clannlife Fitness.
- Memberships that are one or two months cannot be transferred.
- Unfortunately we do not accept cheques as a payment option.
- We want you to enjoy your experience here in Clannlife Fitness and the responsibility is with every individual to follow policies, procedures, notices, and instructions from staff. If everybody does this it will make it a safer place for you to train and get the most out of your experience with us. If you have any questions or queries, please ask a member of our team.
SWIMMING LESSONS TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Bookings are purchased in termly, we run a term every September, January and April.
- A full refund can be issued up to 7 day prior to the term start date.
- A deposit is non-refundable as you are putting a deposit on the place.
- Bookings are non-refundable after the 7 day countdown and terms and conditions apply.
- Bookings are non-refundable during the term whether the swimmer has attended or not the class space is still occupied and taking away from a full place.
- Lessons missed on the swimmers behalf cannot be carried forward as the place is still taken regardless.
- In the event that due to medical reasons, the balance of the term can be refunded with a doctors note.
- If a booking is done mid course the swimmer is only charged pro – rata.
- Bookings are on a first come, first served basis and due to class capacity limits, spaces cannot be guaranteed.
- Teachers have the final say in determining the level your child will be taught.
- We ask all participants in our Academy to follow our policies and procedures for delivery and Health and Safety.
- We deliver our Academy using CoursePro which is a swim teaching software. Parents/guardian’s must register for this system and top up classes if you wish to retain your place in the class.
- Parents are requested to be on poolside during assessment times only and the last 5 minutes of class or at the request of the class teacher and are asked to wear appropriate pools shoe covers over their footwear when poolside and changing rooms.
- We run our lessons in line with the school calendar year and children move to the next level each May. This does not guarantee your child will move to the next level as each child learns at different rates, if this is the case and the teacher feels the child needs more time they will have to stay in the current level.
- Movements cannot be guaranteed mid term.
- At the end of each term a 4 week top up period opens up, swimmers need to be topped up in this period to secure place. Once the last session begins if a swimmer has not topped up the space will open up to our lengthy waiting list.
- Parents must stay with the children at the start of class until the class has started and the teacher has taken the group.
- Children are requested to go toilet before the class begins, if a child needs to go toilet the parent will be called.
- If a child arrives without hats or goggles the parent will be called as these are both needed for health and safety reasons.
- Bookings cannot be held without payment.
- Bullying between children is completely unacceptable and if any form of bullying is found an investigation will be launched which may or can result in removal.
